Upon arrival at New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport, meet to our representative & transfer to the hotel. The national capital of India, Delhi has always fascinated everyone. Pass in front of Chandni Chowk, once the imperial avenue of the Mughal royals, today one of the busiest shopping areas of the city. Continue to New Delhi with the 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-carved to its full height of 234 feet, and the Iron Pillar, which has withstood the ravages of time and has not rusted despite being 1500 years old. Continue to India Gate (a war memorial to the lives of Indian soldiers), the President’s Residence, formerly the Viceroy’s Palace, Parliament House and the Secretariat Buildings, an interesting mix of Victorian and 20th century architecture. Next visit the Sikh temple, Bangla Sahib. This magnificent, huge white marble gurdwara (Sikh temple), topped with gleaming golden onion domes, was built on the site where the eighth Sikh Guru, Harkrishan Dev, stayed before his death in 1664. They share a beautiful relationship with this special animal: the antelope stays close to the Bishnoi homes, never moving away, and shows total trust towards the people.
