Detailed program

Day 1: Welcome to Thiruvananthapuram!

Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, welcoming and vibrant. You will be amazed by the richness of culture and spirituality from the very first day. After settling into a comfortable accommodation at Uday Suites, An Airport Hotel, we will begin with a visit to the surroundings of Padmanabhaswamy Temple, where history and devotion blend in a mystical atmosphere, as well as the Kuthiramalika Palace.

Day 2 to 5: Wellness Retreat in Varkala

Head to Varkala, a coastal gem renowned for its cliffs overlooking the Arabian Sea where you will stay at Lumuma Yoga Resort. In this haven of peace, you will participate in a wellness retreat led by Shankaran where yoga, breathwork, meditation will guide you to a state of inner peace. Also enjoy the pristine beaches and enchanting sunsets for an unforgettable experience.

Lunch is not included, which will allow everyone time to go eat on the cliff at their convenience. In addition, additional treatments not included can be done, such as a Gua Sha massage, a Reiki energy treatment or a Watsu session (by reservation).

Check out at 12:00 and depart for Kollam after lunch. Overnight in Kollam where you will be staying at Samiira On Ashtamudi Lake

Day 6: Amma’s Ashram in Kollam

Visit the Amritapuri Ashram, where compassion and spirituality meet. Meet Amma, the revered mother figure who spreads joy through her comforting embraces (subject to her presence in Kerala on this date). Lunch is not included, as you will be in the middle of visiting the ashram.

Days 7 to 11 of this yoga retreat in India are dedicated to your Ayurvedic cure associated with the practice of gentle yoga and powerful meditations to reconnect you with your deep self (1 treatment and 1 yoga session per day except the day of the walk to Fort Kochi). You will also visit the ancient city of Fort Kochi, you will take a cruise on the backwaters and attend traditional dance performances from Kerala.

Day 7: Start of Ayurvedic treatments

Meeting with the Ayurvedic doctor to set the personalized treatments and start of treatments, yoga and rest.

Day 8: Backwaters Cruise

Embark on a captivating cruise on the Kerala backwaters, a network of winding canals lined with lush coconut trees and picturesque villages. Let yourself be lulled by the tranquility of this unique experience, admiring the spectacular landscapes and soaking up authentic local life. On your return, continue your Ayurvedic treatments and end the evening with a guided meditation at sunset.

Day 9: Exploring Fort Kochi

Continue this yoga retreat in India by exploring the fascinating history of Fort Kochi, where colonial remains mingle with traditional Indian culture and contemporary art. Stroll through the narrow streets lined with colorful houses, visit ancestral churches, the synagogue and browse antique shops. A journey through time where every corner holds a captivating story. End the evening with a performance of Kathakali, a traditional form of dance theatre from Kerala.

As the walk is quite long, there is no Ayurvedic treatment or yoga tonight.

Day 10: Learn the basics of Ayurvedic cooking

In addition to your Ayurvedic treatments and yoga session, take part in an Ayurvedic cooking class to leave with good eating habits in your suitcase.

Day 11: Goodbey to Kerala

After experiencing unforgettable moments of yoga, spirituality and discovery, it is time to say goodbye to Kerala. But take with you the precious memories of this transcendent experience, as well as the peace and harmony found that will stay with you long after you leave.
