Day 1: Arrival in Kochi (Cochin)
Upon arrival at Kochi (Cochin) International Airport. Traditional and personalized welcome by the representative of Delighted Journey. Transfer to the hotel in Cochin, for overnight stay.

Day 2: Cochin (Kochi) – Munnar (135 Km/ 4 hrs drive)
After breakfast, departure on winding roads, through the beautiful mountain landscapes towards Munnar, the commercial center of tea plantations among the highest in the world.
Then, we visit Attukal Waterfalls, a beautiful waterfall in the middle of the hills and the jungle. The waterfalls are well located between Munnar and Pallivasal and the road to get there is so beautiful.

Day 3: Munnar Trek
Today morning after breakfast, we will leave for a 3-4 hours trek. In the afternoon, visit the tea museum where we will observe the tea preparation process, from plantation to tasting. Rest of the time visit local market etc. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar – Madurai (135 Km/ 4 Hrs drive)
After breakfast, departure on the road to Madurai. Visit the Meenakshi Temple, a Hindu temple. Dedicated to Meenakshi, it has two sanctuaries, one for each of the gods.
In the evening, you will attend the Aarti ceremony (the ceremony of the “Setting of Shiva” carried on a palanquin to join Meenakshi).

Day 5: Madurai – Periyar / Thekkady (140 Km/ 4 hrs drive)
After breakfast, drive to the mountains of Kerala through the countryside. You will cross magnificent mountain landscapes with lush vegetation, tea, pepper, pineapple and cardamom plantations.
Arrival in Periyar and check-in hotel. In the afternoon, departure for a stroll in the spice garden. The rest of the day is free to explore the spice market. Or witness the Kathakali dance show. Overnight at Periyar / Thekkady.
Day 6: Periyar (Thekkady)
Early morning, beautiful jungle trek to track animals, deer, wild buffalo, and discover exuberant and flamboyant vegetation, kapok trees, papaya trees, rubber trees…
Afternoon, ideal time to relax or massage.
In the evening, at the time when the animals leave the forest to go and drink, boat trip on the artificial lake of Periyar created under the British Empire.

Day 7: Periyar – Alleppey (150 Km/ 4-5 hrs drive)
Today, we head to Alleppey. En route, we will first visit Amritapuri Ashram, which is home to more than 3,500 monastic disciples and family heads. Homes and visitors are welcome to join the Amma schedule of the day.
Upon arrival, board a kettuvallams, a kind of “houseboat”. These are flat-bottomed barges, traditionally known as rice boats, because they were used to transport tons of materials across the kingdom.
This kettuvallams will take us to discover the amazing lagoon world of the Backwaters. The Backwaters of Kerala are a whole network of canals and lagoons where small fishing and farming villages are nestled, as well as rubber and spice plantations. Among the agricultural activities of the region there is also the coir industry, a coarse fiber forming the shell of coconuts. We enjoy this picturesque and relaxing landscape.

Day 8: Alleppey
After breakfast on the barges we disembark and drive along the coast. In the evening, we leave to explore the surroundings of the village. Various activities are possible: canoeing, hiking, cycling through the villages or even cooking classes.

Day 9: Alleppey – Mararikulam (20 Km)
After breakfast, we head to a village near the beach. Marari is a paradise for nature lovers and a morning walk is a great way to discover the unique ecosystem.

Day 10: Mararikulam
The whole day is free to relax and enjoy the place. A relaxing day facing the Arabian Sea…

Day 11: Mararikulam – Conchin (50 Km)
After breakfast, departure for Cochin. Then half a day dedicated to exploring Cochin. Old city built on the water’s edge, which was in turn Portuguese then Dutch. We visit the Fort of Cochin, then the Church of St. Francis.
Cochin has a long history of trade with Arab, Chinese, Dutch, English and Portuguese fishermen and these different cultures are still present today.
We will have the opportunity to attend the Kalaripayatu show (martial art originating from Kerala).

Day 12: Departure Transfer
Today, we will be transferred to the Cochin International Airport to take the return flight.
