Process of an Ayurveda holiday in the Himalayas

The first treatment phase

Travel preparations

Vaccinations: In India no vaccinations are required when entering directly from Europe or other part of world. Travel time: The best time to travel to Indian Himalaya is mid Sept – March (except monsoon). The Himalayan region in northern India is also best traveled in spring and autumn.

Entry information

If you want to travel to the Himalaya region in northern India, fly to Delhi and then board train to Kathgodam or fly to Pantnagar Airport. There are direct flights to Europe, the flight time is approx. 8-9 hours and the onward flight to Pantnagar takes approx. 1 hour & train around 4 hours. In total you will be on the road for around 10-14 hours with a change.

Entry requirements: For India you need a visa, which European citizens can apply for online as an e-visa or at an Indian diplomatic mission before traveling.

Time difference: The time difference in India is +4.5 hours at CET and +3.5 hours during summertime.
