Day 1: ARRIVAL DELHI
Welcome at Delhi airport by our team and transfer to your hotel. Night at the hotel.
Day 2: DELHI – LEH (FLIGHT)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Leh. Welcome at Leh Kushok Bakula airport by your guide and transfer to your hotel. To help you better acclimatize, we advise you to rest for half a day at the hotel. The afternoon will begin with a visit to the Shanti stupa and the Leh Palace dating from the 17th century. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: LEH – INDUS VALLEY – LEH
After breakfast, enjoy a full day visiting the Indus Valley. Your visit begins with the Hemis monastery dating from the 17th century. Hemis is the largest monastery of the Drukpa Kagyud sect. After visiting the Hemis monastery, your guide will take you to the Thiksay monastery. Lunch in Thiksay in a local restaurant. Visit to Thiksay Monastery and Shey Palace. Then return to Leh. Night at the hotel.
Day 4: LEH – NUBRA VALLEY
Today, after breakfast, drive to the Nubra valley, nicknamed “the valley of the oasis”. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley through the Khardong-La pass, known as the second highest motorized road in the world. After 1 hour drive, you will have lunch in the first village of Nubra Valley. You will then arrive in the main town of Nubra Valley, Deskit. You will have the opportunity to visit the monastery dating from the 14th century in Deskit and the Maitreya Buddha measuring 35 meters. Then your journey will continue to Hunder, known for its sand dunes. A tour of the city is planned on camels. Night in hotel.
Day 5: NUBRA VALLEY – PANAMIK AND SOUMMOR GOMPA
After breakfast, visit the popular village of Panamik. Enjoy a hike around the pond to soak up the local landscapes. After this walk, departure to visit the Samthangling monastery. Second largest monastery in Nubra Valley. Night in Summor in luxury camp
Day 6: NUBRA VALLEY – LEH
After breakfast, drive towards Leh. You will stop in the Khardong village for a short hike in the middle of the barley fields. Take the opportunity to take photos of the charming village of Khardong. Lunch in Leh. You will arrive in Leh around 3 or 4 p.m. Free evening to explore the Leh market. Night at the hotel.
Day 7: LEH – PANGONG LAKE
After breakfast, departure for Pangong Lake via Changla Pass. Through this route, you will visit the picturesque villages of Shey and Thiksay, as well as the side valley of Chemrey and Sakti. Recharge your batteries amid the region’s splendid landscapes. The day continues with a hike around the lake. Night in a luxury camp.
Day 8: PANGONG LAKE – LEH
Today, we advise you to get up early to take photos of the sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, return to Leh by the same road. On the way, visit Chemday Monastery. Lunch at Thiksay restaurant. After lunch, your drive will continue towards Leh. Night at the hotel.
Day 9: LEH – LIKIR – ALCHI
Today, after breakfast, departure to Alchi. A stop is planned to visit the magnificent panorama of the Zanskar & Indus river confluence called SANGM Nimmu. Once back on the road, visit the Likir monastery, the second largest monastery in Ladakh. You will have lunch in the village of Alchi where you can taste the local cuisine. After lunch, a hike around the village is planned. Night at the hotel.
Day 10: ALCHI – RIZONG – LAMAYURU – LEH
After breakfast, you will drive back to Leh. During the route, you will be able to observe the fascinating lunar landscape of Lamayuru. You will then visit the Lamayuru Monastery. After getting back on the road, you will stop at the Kaltse village market for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Rigzong monastery and the school called Nunnery in Rigzong. You will arrive in Leh around 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. During the evening, we suggest you explore the Leh market. Night at the host.
Day 11: LEH – DELHI (FLIGHT)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Delhi. Reception at Delhi airport and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: DELHI – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel then departure for the visit of New and Old Delhi. You will notably visit Gandhi’s house “Birla House” or the Sikh temple. Dinner in a restaurant and transfer to the airport to take the flight back to home.
