Detailed Itinerary

Arrival Delhi: On arrival at New Delhi International airport, meet & greet by our staff, and follow drive to hotel in city centre for rest of the night.

Delhi – Varanasi (O/n Train): After a leisurely start, explore the myriad sights of Old and New Delhi. The wide boulevards of Lutyens' New Delhi contrast dramatically with the narrow streets and scattered monuments that dominate Old Delhi. Later transfer to New Delhi railway station board overnight train to Varanasi.

Arrival Varanasi: Very early in the morning arrival Varanasi. Upon arrival our representative will meet you at Varanasi Railway station, and transfer you to your hotel. Begin exploring Varanasi with a visit to Sarnath - an important site related to the life of Buddha where he preached his first disciples. Continue your explorations of Varanasi with a visit to the riverside at sunset to witness a daily ritual called AARTI, that has been happening on the banks of the Ganges for many thousand years. Our guide can facilitate witnessing this ritual for our guests from the comfort of boat with uninterrupted views of the activities. Return back to your hotel for overnight stay.

Varanasi: Very early in the morning wake up and transfer to the riverside. Witness the religious activities and rituals performed by pilgrims on the banks of the Ganges River from the comfort of your private boat. Continue on a walk through the old city before heading back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you can visit a Brocade Weaving Center, Benares Hindu University, Bharat Mata Temple and the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple. Evening visit Ghat and Local colorful market. Overnight at Varanasi.

Varanasi – Khajuraho (Flight): After a leisure breakfast transfer to airport, board flight to Khajuraho. On arrival at Khajuraho airport meet to our representative and transfer to your pre-booked hotel, later visit Khajuraho erotic temples. This afternoon explore the beautiful stone carved 10th Century temples known world over for the erotic sculptures. Evening witness the folk dance. Drive back to hotel for overnight stay.

Lakshmana Temple

Khajuraho – Alipura: (80 Km): After a leisure breakfast check out from the hotel, later proceed to Alipura, this is the small village, where you will see the actual life of rural India. On arrival check in a Fort, now become a heritage hotel. Rest of the time visit village and the fort. Dinner and overnight at Alipura.

Alipura – Orchha (110 Km): Breakfast at the Alipura Fort, later proceed to Orchha. On arrival check in hotel. Later commence sightseeing of Orchha, includes the 16th Century Fort (Jahangiri Mahal) and Temples built by the Bundela Kings. Overnight at hotel.

Orchha – Gwalior (128 Km): After an early breakfast proceed to Gwalior, the largest city in north Madhya Pradesh. ON arrival check in hotel, later proceed to Gwalior sightseeing. The strategically important fort at Gwalior dominates the city. Sightseeing includes Jai Vilas Palace, the Man Mandir, The Fort, Temples of Sas-Bahu and Teli Ka Mandir. Gwalior is also the site of the tomb of Tansen, the musician extraordinaire of Akbar's Court (one of his “nau ratan”, nine jewels). Gwalior retains a strong musical tradition, and continues to be an influential force in Hindu classical music. Overnight at hotel.

Tajmahal

Gwalior-Agra (120 Km): Morning drive to Agra, on arrival check in hotel, rest of the time a heritage walk through the Old City culminating at the Agra Fort. During the walk you will visit old shrines, artisans at work and the vibrant life of the old city. The walk will be followed by a visit to the Agra Fort which dates back to the 11th Century and captured by several rulers before it was rebuilt by the Great Mughal King Akbar in the 16th Century. Later this afternoon visit the tomb Itmad ud Daulah also referred to as Baby Taj or the Mehtab Bagh for sunset views of the Taj Mahal. The Mehtab Bagh is one of the many gardens built by the Mughal rulers. Overnight at hotel.

Agra – Ranthambore (260 Km): Very early in the morning explore the world heritage site The Taj Mahal (Every Friday Closed). During the sunrise to experience the Taj Mahal at its most alluring hour. Later back to hotel check out formalities and proceed to Ranthambore, en route visit Fatehpur Sirki, the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, also the erstwhile capital of Mughal Rulers The Great Akbar. Lunch en route. On arrival in Ranthambore Check-into your hotel.

Ranthambore: Today explore the forests of Ranthambore, which were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur. You will rise early for a morning Jeep Safari into the protected Ranthambore National Park. You will then return to the hotel for a brunch and time to relax before embarking on your afternoon drive into the Park. (Morning & Afternoon Park Ride)

Ranthambore – Jaipur (175 Km): This morning presents another opportunity to explore the Ranthambore forests before you commence your drive to Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur you will check-into your hotel. The rest of the day will be at your leisure.

Hawa Mahal

Jaipur: Early morning visit the Amer Fort by Elephant back, the sprawling 16th Century Amber Fort atop the Aravali hills. Drive back into the city to explore the 18th century Astronomical Observatory, which is one of the best preserved and most accurate in the country. After lunch visit City Palace Museum and later commence the Heritage walk in the old city (Pink City). Evening visit Laxami Narayan Temple. Tonight you will enjoy your dinner with a local family. Overnight at hotel.

Jaipur – Delhi (250 Km): You will spend another leisurely morning in Jaipur before being journey to Delhi by road. On arrival in Delhi meet to our representative. Rest of the time free. The car and driver will be at your disposal for the remainder of the day to accomplish your last minute shopping requirements or to continue exploring the city. A room will be reserved at a hotel with close access to the airport for wash and change or overnight.
