Orissa Tribal Journey

India subcontinent has a vast number of Tribes several state are know for tribes as Orissa, Chhatisgarh, Kerala, North-East State as Assam, Arunachal, Nagaland, etc. Orissa has the largest variety of tribal communities, which are at various stages of socio-economic development. At one extreme are the group which lead a relatively secluded and archaic mode of life, keeping their core culture intact, while at the other extreme there are communities which are indistinguishable from the general agricultural communities. The tribal people express their cultural identity and distinctiveness in their social organization, language, rituals and festivals and also in their dress, ornaments, art and craft. In Orissa Korput, Malkangiri, Nanarangpur, and Rayagada district are very know for tribes.

Places Visit : Arrival Kolkata-Balasore-Similipal-Bhuvaneshwar-Puri -Taptapani-Raygada-Chatikona-Jeypore-Jeypore-Vishakapatnam-Hyderabad Dep.

Day 01: Arrival Kolkata (Calcutta) : Upon arrival meet to our staff, transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 02: Kolkatta : After breakfast full day local sightseeing visit Victoria Memorial, Writers Buildings, Saint Paul Cathedral, Flower Markets, Mother Teresa House, and Museum. Rest of the time visit local market overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kolkatta –Balasore-Similipal : Early in the morning board train to Balasore, on arrival meet to vehicle drive to 3 hrs to Similipal, this is the biggest National Park in Orissa. Afternoon trek in the Park, overnight at resort or hotel.

Day 04: Similipal-Bhuvaneshwar : Early in the morning commence journey to Jungle witness the wild life and birds. Later drive back to lodge for lunch, transfer to railway station board train to Bhuvaneshwar, on arrival meet to assistance drive to hotel for overnight.

Day 05: Bhuvaneshwar : After breakfast full day visit the city and temples.  Visit Brahmeshwara, Kedareshwar, Lingraja Parasurameshwara and Mukteshwar Temples. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Bhuvaneshwar-Puri : After breakfast commence journey to Puri, situated the gulf of Bangale. En route visit Hirapur the Chausad (64) Yogini Temples. Dhauli the battle field of Kalinga. On arrival at Puri check in hotel for overnight.

Day 07: Puri-Konark-Puri : After breakfast excursion journey Konark, visit the Sun Temple. Drive back to Puri after noon visit Jagatnath Temples (prohibited for non Hindu) only out side. Rest of the time visit local market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Puri-Taptapani : After early breakfast drive to Taptapani, en route visit Chilka Lake where you can see the migrated birds. On arrival check in guest house or hotel for overnight.

Day 09: Taptapani-Raygada : Early breakfast long drive to Raygada, en route visit Tribes village Lanjila Saorathe tribes are dived several clans as Lamba Lanjila, Jadu, Mane, Raika, Sarda, Kendal, Arsi, Juari, Kampo etc. On arrival check in hotel for overnight. 

Day 10: Rayagada : After breakfast full day visit day market by foot, early in the morning they descend from Niyamgiri. Visit the village Dhongaria Konth. En the way back stop at Dumuk where we can see the Kutia Kondh. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Raygada-Chatikona-Jeypore : Early in the morning after breakfast drive to Jeypore, en route  visit Chatikona, visit the market Dhongaria Kondhs, on arrival at Jeypore check in hotel for overnight. Rest of the day leisure for visit local market.

Day 12: Jeypore : After breakfast full day visit Onukundeolli village, to witness the tribes, Bonda are the main tribes there. We can see the Gadabas Tribes as well. Later drive back to hotel.

Day 13: Jeypore : Full day visit Kundulli village, witness Parajas tribes later drive back to hotel Jeypore, rest of the time visit local market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Jeypore-Vishakapatnam-Hyderabad : Early in the morning drive to Vishakapatnam, visit Khairapur. On arrival at Vishakapatnam take dinner, later board train to Hyderabad.
